Bulgarian Association of Consulting Engineers and Architects – BACEA was founded in October 1999 and is the only organization in Bulgaria to bring together the companies exercising construction supervision and consultant activity.
The public activity of the Association, as well as the fact that it is very often the initiator of joint standpoints on issues important for the colleagues from this field, makes the Association a very valuable factor in the public space, along with other professional organizations in the design and construction area.
From September 2000 BACEA is the only full member and representative for Bulgaria of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers / FIDIC and also from May 2001, a full member of the European Federation of Consulting Association – EFCA. BACEA participates actively in the international initiatives of both organizations. Foreign partners lend theirs strong support for the establishment of the BACEA activities, as well as for the extension of BACEA members’ qualification.
In the last 20 years BACEA organized different training courses on FIDIC contracts for more than 1000 employees in the following institutions ‘Audit of EU Funds’ Executive Agency, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Ministry of Environment and Waters, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Bulgarian National Audit Office, Sofia Airport, BULATSA, National Revenue Agency, NPP Kozlodyu, TPP Maritsa Iztok 2, National Company Railway Infrastructure etc.
BACEA is guided by a Board of 11 Directors, Supervision body of 3 members and a President nominated by the General Assembly of BACEA.
The President of BACEA is Tsvetko Tudzarov, Dipl.eng.
